Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Farm Junction ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use our website and web app at myfarmjunction.com (the "app"), including shopping, group buys, subscriptions, wallet, delivery and pickup. Farm Junction is based in Isheri North, Lagos, Nigeria. Questions: hello@myfarmjunction.com.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and profile photo.
• Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture. We do not access your contacts, Gmail, Drive or any other Google data.
• Delivery details: saved delivery addresses, your chosen store/region and delivery instructions (for example estate access notes).
• Orders and activity: items in your cart, orders, group-buy slots, subscriptions, pickups, refunds, wallet balance and loyalty points.
• Payment information: card payments are processed by Paystack; we never see or store your full card number. For bank transfers we record the amount, reference and confirmation status.
• Support and feedback: messages you send our support team, survey and beta-testing answers, and feedback you give on orders.
• Usage and device data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from IP address, and similar information collected by Google Analytics and our hosting analytics using cookies or similar technology.
• Riders: if you deliver for us, we collect your contact details and your location while you are on an active delivery.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and sign you in.
• To process, pack, deliver or hand over your orders, group buys and subscriptions.
• To take payments, confirm transfers, issue refunds and manage your wallet and loyalty points.
• To send order updates, pickup and delivery alerts, refund confirmations and account emails.
• To send beta and marketing emails where you have signed up; you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To provide customer support and handle complaints or disputes.
• To prevent fraud and keep the app secure.
• To understand how the app is used and improve it.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• Paystack, to process payments.
• Delivery riders and store staff, who see your name, phone number, address and order items for the orders they handle.
• Service providers that host the app, store data, and send emails and notifications on our behalf.
• Google Analytics, for usage statistics.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

4. Google user data

Information received from Google sign-in (name, email address, profile picture) is used only to create and identify your Farm Junction account and to contact you about your orders. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with third parties except the service providers listed above that help us run the app. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Your choices and rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can:

• View and edit your profile and addresses in the app.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and turn off notifications in Profile settings.
• Ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data by emailing hello@myfarmjunction.com. We respond within 30 days.
• Withdraw consent or object to processing, and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account information while your account is open. Order and payment records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal information, except records we must keep by law.

7. Security

Access to your information is limited to staff who need it for their role, and the app uses secure (HTTPS) connections. No system is completely secure, so please keep your sign-in details private.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart and store, and measure how the app is used (Google Analytics). You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.

9. Children

The app is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email.
